Nervous about acting camp?

A couple of weeks ago I saw an add in the newspaper about acting camp where teenagers 13+ perform musicals. I am very interested in the arts, and especially in Broadway. My mom said I shouldn't go because she thinks the kids will be a lot better than I am because they had more experience. The only thing that gives me hope is Chris Colfer, because they never thought he would make it big because he's never had a vocal lesson, but he surely proved himself. I'm very nervous.. What do you think...?
