Is it ok if i dont book a hotel in Goa in advance during peak season?

Many a times we book a hotel in advance and then when we arrive at the hotel we regret booking it. I was just thinking that rather than booking in advance any hotel without looking at it if its ok if we arrive in Goa and then after looking at the hotel actually book it? Are the hotels in Goa fully houseful during peak seasons or you can book on time after arrival too?
